Relax

The sheep will guide you home if you're lost (they're generally known as followers but this one's obviously the black sheep of the family)

or....

Page Purpose: Find out what I get up to besides work, because, as they say, all work and no play makes Pete a dull boy.

My activities and interests break down into two main areas:

Mountains
Water

In the mountains I can be seen (in the winter) skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, walking up (and down) dangerous slopes etc.  In the summer I tend to stick to slightly deranged mountain biking and general mountain walks/escapades.  These activities mainly take place in the french alps as England hasn't got that many ski slopes and tends to be a bit full of mud all year.

As for the water, I can be frequently seen sailing both dinghies and yachts (both catamarans and monohulls) and a couple of years ago I proudly obtained my Yachtmaster Offshore certificate allowing me to go play on my own whilst ordering my own crew around.  I also practise most other watersports that don't involve an engine (canoe/kayak, windsurf, surf, swimming etc)

The only activity that doesn't fit in here is deejaying (playing dance tunes consecutively, and overlapping, at house parties and at clubs, for those who've never heard of Fatboy Slim).  I nearly decided to continue this hobby professionally but I feared that if I did I may no longer enjoy it due to overkill (most deejays spend 2 years at least playing every night all over the country, often without being paid before they make their mark).  I find it a great source of relaxation due to the intense concentration needed.  This sounds like an oxymoron but the intense concentration allows you to clear the mind of any troubling thoughts and to refocus.
